Healthy Lives, Bright Futures: Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene
At DKMAP Foundation, we believe that access to clean water, safe sanitation, and good hygiene is a fundamental right for every child and family. Healthy environments are essential for children to grow, learn, and thrive.
Clean Water for All
Safe water reduces the time families spend collecting it, giving children more time to attend school and parents, especially mothers, more time to work and care for their families. We work to bring clean water to homes, schools, and healthcare facilities, ensuring communities can flourish.
Dignified Sanitation
Everyone deserves safe and private sanitation. We provide toilets and sanitation facilities that meet the needs of children, women and girls, and people with disabilities, both at home and in schools and healthcare centers.
Promoting Hygiene and Handwashing
Good hygiene practices are vital for preventing disease. We focus on handwashing education, behavior change programs, and accessible hygiene facilities close to homes, schools, and clinics to keep children and communities healthy.
Menstrual Health and Hygiene
We support women and girls to manage menstruation with confidence and dignity. Our programs provide access to safe and affordable menstrual products, education about menstrual health, and private washing facilities, ensuring girls can attend school and participate fully in their communities.
By ensuring access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, we contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 6, promoting health, education, and well-being for every child.
