Strengthening the Call to Protect Children

Over the past three days, we had the privilege of participating in an impactful child protection training held at Shiloh Church Namugongo Shiloh Church Namugongo. The training, organized by PCAN Church PCAN Church, brought together leaders, caregivers, and ministry workers united by a shared commitment — safeguarding the well-being of children.

The sessions were facilitated by Dr. Brain Dr. Brain from the Timothy Two Project Timothy Two Project, whose insights challenged us to rethink how we approach child safety within churches and communities. Rather than viewing child protection as a policy requirement, the training emphasized it as a moral and spiritual responsibility.

Through engaging discussions and practical examples, participants explored the realities children face, including neglect, abuse, and unsafe environments. More importantly, we examined how institutions and individuals can become proactive protectors rather than passive observers.

The training reminded us that protecting children is not a one-time effort but an ongoing culture that must be intentionally built.
